Position Title: Territory Officer, Activation

Location: House No:11/B, Road No: 60, Gulshan-2, Dhaka-1212, Bangladesh.

Job Summary:

A Territory Officer (Activation) will be mainly responsible for hub inception works, to arrange and actively participate in community mobilization program, to do research and development activities and overall maintenance of Direct to Community program within his/her territory to make a favourable condition for Aparajita (Rural Sales Ladies) operation which will positively affect overall JITA operations. S/he will also actively participate in all the events planned and will also provide feedback for the day to day development of JITA's activities. The work will also involve supervision of consumer, brand and trade marketing activities and repeat customer engagement, strengthen loyalty and expand distribution for our brands and increase subscribers' lifetime value with JITA products. S/he will supervise the Community Facilitators, the Hub Managers, Service Persons and Aparajitas during an ongoing campaign. S/he will ensure clarity during the identification and selection process of potential business area & HUB manager from different corner of that territory to facilitate the market and business development initiatives for JITA. TO, Activation will report directly to Area Manager, Activation.

Hub inception activities:

  • Actively participate in hub area and hub identification, selection and stirring.
  • Supervise and participate in CF's activities to identify and select potential Aparajita and ultimately increase the number of active Aparajita.
  • Make collaboration among CF, HM and SP activities of every hub under the territory.

Direct to community operation:

  • Participate in incubation and testing alternative delivery and support model for implementing JITA mandate of reaching consumers with impactful product.
  • Actively supervise HM and SP in overall DC hub operation and link Aparajita with them through geographic decentralization.
  • Meeting lifting target and ensure product distribution for DC hub according to business plan.

Community mobilization activities:

  • Identify and select area to organize community meetings in JITA covered area.
  • Arrange community meeting and ensure appropriate participants while communicating health, hygiene, nutritional and educational message among consumers.
  • Arranging all the logistics and permission to arrange such kind of community programs.

Research and development activities:

  • Understand the social and market dynamics, and constantly feeding the Area Manager to Develop strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company social and commercial goals. Also provides timely feedback to senior management regarding area performance.
  • Make arrangement and actively participate in consumer research, test marketing, product tests, etc in the covered areas.
  • Supervise and actively participate to collect data for supporting rural strategic center data needs and also for continuous up-gradation of decision support system of JITA.

Finance, Admin and Reporting:

  • Finance: Collect and submit partner company's invoices in desired format to Area Manager in time to prepare service person's salary and JITA commission. Also supervise hub manager's transaction of DC hub.
  • Admin: Taking care of assigned JITA asset as a custodian and assist area manager to get administrative support considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one to smooth assigned work.
  • Report: Prepare daily, weekly & monthly sales and activation report. Especially always carry an up to date active Aparajita list and communicate with AM and HQ while necessary.


  • Graduate in any discipline
  • 2 years experience in rural area's marketing related work will add additional value.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of own self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Have valid motorcycle driving license.

Core Competencies:

  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Knowledge on rural distribution system; Problem solving ability in technical aspects; Ability to work in a team environment; Good communication skills in Bengali.
